D: How did you come up with the idea for a portable dance floor for Irish dancers?
AC: Heather, my wife and an adult Irish Dancer, grew weary of having to go someplace in order to practice her dance. A nice floor was a fifteen minute drive away, and even then, access was limited. Many times, she ended up having to dance on concrete in local workout rooms. Carpet was out of the question. As a result, she developed shin splints and bone/joint injuries. Enough was enough.
She started out with exactly what SHE had in mind for a portable floor. She looked online and studied the other "portable" floors. None were satisfactory. Either the price was too expensive or the floor simply was too bulky for easy transport or it did not have enough shock absorption characteristics. She simply could not find a floor that met all her needs. So, she sat down and researched and designed a floor that would meet all her personal dance needs.
Four months later, Jubilee Dance Floor was born - a lightweight, shoulder-carried, durable, percussive sounding , shock-absorbing floor that fit into the trunk of her compact car. What more could she ask?
D: What is unique about the floor?
AC: The floor was so simple in design and so remarkably portable and durable that we were both flabbergasted that nothing that combined portability, shock-absorbability, durability and AFFORDABILITY was on the market. When she showed it to her dancing colleagues at class she sold seven in one night (and they weren't even for sale!).
Heather dances whenever she wants, day or night. And when she goes to recital, she takes her floor with her for warm-up. She simply slings the carrying strap over her shoulder, takes it to the car, lays it flat in the compact car trunk, and off she goes.
D: Is there a market for this floor right now?
AC: It seems that the Irish Dance market is thirsting for this kind of affordable floor. It is a dance floor product whose time has come. We now spend our days ensuring that other know about this great floor.
D: What options do I have in floor sizes?
AC: The flooring comes in individual panels of 4 sq ft, 9 sq ft and 12 sq ft, the heaviest weighing only 16 lbs. All are interconnectable and all have non-slip undersurfaces. No special tools or assembly required.
D: How would someone order a floor?
