Rince Reno, held on Mother's Day in Reno, Nevada, and billed as a celebration of Irish dance moms, has become an instant family favorite. This new feis was launched last year without many of the glitches normally associated with such ventures. T

he hosting school has tapped into a network of seasoned volunteers and feis organizers, so the organization is superb. They even give out fresh red roses to the Irish dance moms; how cool is that?

At the most recent feis, competitions ran either on time or ahead, making it easy for out-of-town travelers. The resort venue is family friendly,catering to all ages, and making it a great place to bring the family for a mini-vacation.

The Tiny Tots Demo which gives the littlest dancers a place to shine, is not to be missed. The cherry on the sundae for me this year was the chance to do a 2-hand reel with my daughter in the Mother's Day Special. I didn't really care if we placed or not. The looks of pride on my husband and mother-in-law's faces were priceless!
